I'm Kavya, a self-driven high school freshman who loves giving back to the community. I am a passionate writer, researcher, orator, programmer, and multicultural artist. As a STEM enthusiast, I constantly strive to broaden my horizons and develop my interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning. I hope to stamp my identity as a successful woman entrepreneur and visionary leader.
How do you feel to join the Youth STEM Summit Design Team?
I feel really enthusiastic to join the Youth STEM Summit Design Team. As someone who loves to give back to the community, I believe this is a great opportunity to repurpose my passion for STEM and unique skill set in a way that makes a difference. I am looking forward to creating an impact on a large, global scale with my creativity and enthusiasm.
What are you most looking forward to about the Design Team?
I am looking forward to collaborating with the rest of the team members to bring our vision of the summit to life. Our goal is to make our summit empowering, memorable, and inclusive as possible. Along the way, I hope to learn a lot and network with each and every team member.
What are you hoping to bring to the Design Team?
I am striving to bring my innovative mindset, leadership skills, enthusiasm, and ability to effectively communicate to the Design Team. I hope to harness these skills and organize interactive sessions that engage all our attendees. I also hope to use these skills to guide the team toward our vision for the summit.
Why did you decide to get involved?
I wanted to join the efforts in inspiring a generation of innovators, trailblazers, and change-makers. This vision of inspiring and leading youth led me to becoming involved in the Design Team. As someone who has first-hand experienced the feelings of empowerment, I understand the large impact that even a small dose of inspiration can have on a student’s life.
Why is young people making a difference through STEM important?
Young people are the pillars of our future. And with humanity having a lot of issues to tackle, it is important that youth realize the potential of STEM to help us solve real-world challenges. There are 1.8 billion young, creative minds in this world who have a lot to offer for our society, and we need their ideas, involvement, and STEM-driven solutions!
What are you most excited for at the Summit itself?
I am most excited to see the impact we leave on the Summit’s attendees. It will be interesting to see how the young people take what they learned from this experience and apply it in the real-world to make a positive difference. I am looking forward to seeing how the attendees interact with each other, speakers, and the diverse topics presented.
What do you hope to achieve through the Summit?
I would like the summit to leave all our attendees feeling informed, inspired, and empowered to take action for the issues they care about through STEM. I hope to bring diversity in the topics presented at the summit so that our attendees feel they got the opportunity to delve into the myriad of possibilities that STEM fields have to offer.
