How do you feel to join the Youth STEM Summit Design Team?

I am really excited to be directly involved in designing a summit. Getting to collaborating with a diverse team all around the world promises a worthwhile experience.

What are you most looking forward to about the Design Team?

For a lot of people, such summits and experiences are a way of discovering their passions. When someone discovers how passionate they are about STEM through this event and are able to make important decisions that impact their future, I am most excited about that part. The possibility of being a part of someone's most cherishable memory is what strikes me.

What are you hoping to bring to the Design Team?

A passion for learning! I hope to use my inclination towards humanities and interest in STEM to have an inclusive summit.

Why did you decide to get involved?

I really liked the diversity and inclusion taken into consideration by the organization. Due to having similar passions, I wanted to be involved in something that apart from just igniting interest in the scientific domain, could also potentially lead to self-acceptance for a lot of teenagers.

Why is young people making a difference through STEM important?

Young people need to be empowered to know that their thoughts matter. Teenagers all around the world seem to committed to diverse issues but with little support to create the change they want. STEM offers them a route, creates a space for that empowerment.

What are you most excited for at the Summit itself?

I am most excited to hear from under-represented voices of STEM and gain new perspectives, probably varied from what we see in the mainstream environment.

What do you hope to achieve through the Summit?

Through the summit, I wish to boost my confidence and management as I organize events and interact with people from all around the world. Moreover, every member of the Design Team is inspiring in different ways, and I hope to learn about their passions while pursuing my own goals.
