New Dates Announced for 2021 Youth STEM Summit

The 2021 Youth STEM Summit will now take place on 27th and 28th November - save the dates, and register now!

When we first set out to create the 2021 Youth STEM Summit, we planned for it to take place at the end of September, during Global Goals Week (the week which celebrates the birthday of the UN Sustainable Development Goals), given their central role in all of our work here at Youth STEM 2030. But, things don’t always turn out as you originally expect, and as the vision for the Summit - created by our incredible Design Team - came together, it soon became clear that the limited time available did not match the magnitude of the Design Team’s superb ambitions.

Young people come first for us. We could have created a Summit by the end of September, but it wouldn’t have been as impactful, and it certainly wouldn’t have been what the Design Team created. Therefore, faced with a choice between creating an awesome Summit which truly reflects the vision of the young people behind it a little later than planned, or sticking with the original dates to create a Summit which potentially didn’t make the same impact or offer our speakers & attendees the most meaningful opportunity possible, it was a no-brainer for myself and the Design Team to conclude that the best way forward was to move the dates.

When you’re changing the world, and the problems facing our planet so urgently need solved, it’s easy to want to make things happen as soon as possible. We’re a youth-led and impact driven organisation, and by moving the dates, we’re prioritising the things that matter most.

With the change of dates, we’re bringing even more opportunities for young people to get involved. Our Summit Ambassador programme will be expanded (opening 20th September), young people will have the opportunity to be Reporters for the Summit (opening late October), and if you haven’t yet been in contact to join us in making the Summit happen as a Summit Sponsor or Partner Organisation, there’s still time to get in contact!

Having worked with the Design Team for the past 6 weeks, they’ve designed an incredible Summit that focuses on equipping YOUth with the inspiration, skills and tools you need to tackle the world’s biggest challenges! I can’t wait for their vision to become reality, and for youth globally to join us on 27th and 28th November 2021!
