I’m currently in Form 2 right now and I’m a fun loving person who generally loves anything science, particularly biology. I write poetry and short stories(don’t know if they are good!!) and my favourite hobby is reading any really good book. I also love football and I always enjoy watching a game on Sunday evenings with my father. I’m really glad to be part of Youth STEM Matters and all that it offers!
As part of the Youth STEM Matters Team, Tashinga has:
Represented Youth STEM 2030 as a Panel Speaker at ‘Unconference’ by Global Changemakers
Organised and led the interview: “In Conversation with John Sutor and Carlos Mercado-Lara of SciTeens”
Shared her experiences as part of the Volunteer Team for World Youth Skills Day
Participated in the Science Communication Team’s Rosalind Franklin Project
“I’ve developed research skills, and also new and innovative ways of bringing your thoughts together when writing scientifically. I now find it easier to pin point areas that need changing in my school work, and I look at things from different views, not only the obvious things that may first come to mind, but also how to effectively write your thoughts in a powerful, clear way.”
